Azuremyst Isle – A Zone Overview in World of Warcraft

Azuremyst Isle is an alliance zone meant for players level 1-30, founded in The Burning Crusade expansion via World of Warcraft. It’s the starting zone for Draenei, if you’re into space goats.

Everything you find below is up to date for patch 9.3, and focuses on Retail WoW data.

Chests

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Azuremyst Isle. You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.

• Battered Chest

Fishing

I chose the location below because it’s in the river where you throw nets for the Red Snapper – Very Tasty! quest. I figured I might as well stay here and fish since I’m by the water anyway. Also, I fished here at the start of my profession, so I got about 15 junk items along with the items below.

Herb/Mining

While there are mining nodes and herbs in Azuremyst Isle, you’re not capable of flying in the zone. Due to this restriction, I decided not to create a route for either. However, if enough people actually want the ground-mount routes, then I may think about it in the future.

Skinning

I’ve not tested the skinning route of this zone yet.

Rares

Unfortunately, there are no rares in this zone. Which is kind of odd, but… I guess even rares couldn’t find their way to this location.

Reagents

Murlocs

These murlocs are located around the southwestern shoreline of Silvermyst Isle. There are several clumps of them, so as long as you keep running back and forth to where each of them spawn, they’ll constantly be up for you to kill.

They’re basically located between two quest-givers, if you’re acquainted with the area.

Owlbeasts

They’re sort of littered all throughout the center area of Silvermyst Isle, wandering around or standing by their tree nooks. Because they’re in such a larger area and you kind of have to wander all around to farm, their respawn is perfectly fine if you’re looking to acquire some Small Eggs.

Vendors

These vendors sell special goods, meaning they’re limited supply. If someone buys one of these first, there’s a timer on when they’ll be back in stock. In no way does the list below show every vendor located in this zone.

These vendors may also sell certain recipes or patterns worth obtaining.

Goldmaking

In this Azuremyst Isle goldmaking section, I’ll be listing items I acquired as I leveled throughout the zone. While I don’t focus on the special vendor items you could obtain within the zone, there is a chance for them to fall from open world mob drops.

More specifically, you’re able to buy healing potions and such from vendors, but they’re also mob drops, therefore they’ll be in the goldmaking listing below.
