The Prodigal Prince is part of Battle for the Northern Way in Rygjafylke within the game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The Prodigal Prince Guide
Reach the docks
The docks are right across the way and when you’re close enough you’re greeted with a cutscene with Sigurd being all chummy about seeing you and his wife again–and no wonder, it’s been a good two years.
You’ll also notice two new friends he’s met along the way.
Standing side-by-side at the end of the scene like they do, and dressed as they are, they seem awfully familiar to the past Assassin’s Creed games…but maybe that’s just me.
Follow Sigurd
As you follow Sigurd to meet his father, you’ll just have a conversation to fill him in on what he’s missed, basically. To catch him up on what happened with Kjotve the Cruel.
Once you reach the building another cutscene will begin.
Listen to Sigurd’s Tale
It’s rather short and amusing, though I’m not sure why they put it here as an objective. I guess they didn’t want you to miss out on what he did on his journey out there, however intricately spun his tales were.
Speak to Sigurd
You can directly speak to Sigurd and hear what he has to say, or you can speak to a few of the others around the area first. It’s all a matter if you want story or progression.
Talking to Sigurd initiates a cutscene, where we must drink before he gives us a gift.
A gift that we will cherish for the rest of this playthrough.

Nothing makes you feel like assassinating someone like having a hidden wrist blade accidentally spring out on someone while you’re hugging them during a family reunion, right?
Purely accidental. Happens all the time. Just a coincidence nobody happened to like Karen.
I’m just kidding of course. Everyone loves Karen. This is just a prop for those who love Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Follow Sigurd
Head outside with Sigurd and the others to a small training ground where you’ll understand how the weapon works.
Train with the Hidden Blade
You won’t have to worry about sneaking up on enemies during this training, of course, since you’re working with dummies (which some actual enemies might be when you think about it), but it teaches you about assassinating normal enemies versus heavy enemies.
Plus you can strike enemies from ledges if they’re close enough and kill them that way. No need to yank them off and hope they die from the fall.
Another few options are jumping on top of enemies from a height and air assaulting them to death, hiding in haystacks and pulling them into it to kill them, as well as crouching in tall grass to stalk your prey.
Eivor is an official force to be reckoned with.
Return to Sigurd
The other two leave you to it for now, if you want to continue testing the blade out, but you can talk to Sigurd to continue the quest’s progress if you’ve had enough practice slaughtering defenseless dummies.
Speak to Sigurd at the docks
You walk with him to the docks, so all you have to do is initiate conversation again.
