Duskwood is an alliance zone meant for players level 20-60, founded in Classic World of Warcraft. Man, I remember there being a big boss dragon here that scared the poo out of me whenever I saw it as a lower level. Way back when.

But disregarding that beastly thing of the past, Duskwood is one of the locations where I’d always farm Spider’s Silk, as it was typically always one of the better places.

Everything you find below is up to date for patch 9.0.

Archaeology Finds

There’s a possibility of finding Archaeology dig-sites listed below in this zone, but that doesn’t mean they’ll always be here. It’s just something that’s good to know in case you plan on working with this profession.

Chests

Duskwood Treasure Route

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Duskwood. You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.

Herbalism

I tried creating a route that didn’t zigzag all over the zone to get every single herbalism node, but unfortunately after doing a full lap on a druid, the herbs hadn’t respawned. Thus, I wouldn’t bother with trying to farming this zone for herbs.

Not only that, but there are a wide variety of herbs as well, so you can’t really focus on specific ones. Too many with too little results doesn’t make for a good farming location.

Fishing

There aren’t enough fishing pools to create a route for them in Duskwood, nor are there any flourishing hotspots of water to dip your fishing rod in–aside from the shoreline. As such, I chose a random location, and decided to start fishing.

  • I fished at the coords 66.1,14.4 for 10 minutes.

Mining

There aren’t enough mining nodes in this zone to make a good enough route to accumulate enough ore to make a route worth your while. So if you want ore in Duskwood, just look for any nodes that come up while you’re questing, or move on to the next best place.

Skinning

Duskwood Skinning Route

You can probably get away with farming the upper portion of the map where the main cluster of wolves are located, but that’s where a lot of people are questing as well, so it’s kind of problematic and a nuisance at times.

I incorporated the entire zone for more of a scenic route, plus you’ll run into rares and get some different mats in your inventory that you might be able to use later on.

  • I farmed the entire route for 30 minutes on a druid.

Rares

Links regarding the types of beasts you can tame will take you to the Petopia page regarding their species. Petopia gives you a whole lot of information revolving around hunter pets, so if you’re a hunter, go check the site out.

Cloth Farming

Duskwood Cloth Farming

While you can kill a lot of skeletons and ghouls within Raven Hill, I decided to skip out on that area due to the wide expanse of it–I feel smaller areas with faster mob respawn times are better (again, not that the respawn time here isn’t good, it’s just…a lot of area to cover).

  • I farmed each of these coordinates for 10 minutes on a druid.

    • 64,70
    • 72,71
    • 78,70

Small Eggs

Duskwood Small Eggs Route

You’ll typically be farming Small Eggs for the winter holidays in order to cook some of the winter feasts for others to dig into. If that’s the case, then here’s the best route in order to get the most eggs in the zone of Duskwood.

  • I farmed this route for 10 minutes on a druid.

Spider Slayer

Duskwood Spider Farming

This route takes you through the path of the multiple spiders that infest the land of Duskwood. You’ll be looting them for mainly their Spider’s Silk, which is one of their more rare drops, but they also drop materials used for cooking, if you’re looking to level that profession up.

  • I farmed this route for 10 minutes on a druid.

Goldmaking

In this Duskwood goldmaking section, I’ll be listing items I acquired as I leveled throughout the zone. While I don’t focus on the special vendor items you could obtain within the zone, there is a chance for them to fall from open world mob drops.

More specifically, you’re able to buy healing potions and such from vendors, but they’re also mob drops, therefore they’ll be in the goldmaking listing below.
