Take Me To A Hospital is in regards to Chapter 1: Quarantine of the game Vampyr.

At this point you can kind of wander around and get to know some of the characters. Familiarize yourself with their names, note what kind of illness they may be suffering from, though you can’t do much about it right now.

I won’t be mentioning any kind of conversational hints that you can gather when choosing the different dialogues. Instead, this post focuses on the bare-bones of what you need to do in order to fully complete chapter one. Thus, it’s a relatively short post.

Take Me To A Hospital Guide

Enter the Pembroke Hospital

Vampyr - Take Me To A Hospital

The steps are blocked, so go around the building toward two fighting men. Approach the wounded man for a small cutscene. It’s here that you’ll learn about blood quality and mesmerizing–two pretty important aspects of the game.

Once you follow the shadows and take him to a darkened area, you have the choice of embracing or releasing–the game explains this as blood temptation.

Should you kill Clay?

If you’re going for a no-kill (harder difficulty) run, then you don’t want to embrace him now or in the future.

However, if you are planning on embracing for XP, then releasing Clay now will allow you to find more of his hints later, so the amount of XP you gain from him will increase.

By embracing now, you’re locking yourself out of more XP, and you won’t be able to get possible new information or side quests in the future.

Decide which path to take.

  • Releasing Clay will give you the achievement Merciful release.
  • Embracing Clay will give you the achievement Just take a bite.

Continue the direction you were going and up the steps, and this is where you’ll come across the hospital, and a variety of things you can find and learn. Approach Dorothy Crane for a cutscene.

Find your office on the second floor

Go upstairs in the hospital and before going at the end of the hall into your room, head through the first open doorway on the left. You can find a Used hacksaw on one table and T. Elwood’s medical file on another.

Enter your room for your third hideout.

Analyse William Bishop’s blood at the workbench

On the pillar you’ll see a note–Doctor Swansea’s message. On the desk by a locker is an Article on Ekons.

Go to your desk and analyze the blood sample of William Bishop.

Rest in bed until the next night

You could go ahead and do some of the side missions available, but the game prompts you to go to sleep. It’s worth it to do so, as you can use your XP to level some of your skills up for future battles.

After acquiring your skills of choice, continue with Night Shift.
