Terokkar Forest – A Zone Overview in World of Warcraft

Terokkar Forest is a contested zone, meant for players level 15-30 and founded in The Burning Crusade expansion of World of Warcraft.

Everything you find below is up to date for patch 9.0.

Chests

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Terokkar Forest. You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.

Herb/Mining Combo

If you have both professions and you want both of the materials at the same time, I’ve created this combo route. You get a decent amount of either herbs or ore, so it’s a decent route in that sense, and doesn’t encompass as much of the zone, meaning less cliffs to deal with.

This route and the information that comes with it can only be seen in my In-Depth Farming Guide for World of Warcraft.

Herbalism

I tried to get in the few places where Mana Thistle grows here, but one of the locations, the upper left above Shattrath City has a phased area to it. So if you find yourself unable to pick those herbs, due to them despawning, that’s why.

Aside from that, this place nets a decent amount of at least three main herbs.

Fishing

This fishing route is fairly short, and it also brushes close against a horde and alliance location, so be mindful of that. Despite the route not being very long, there are still plenty of pools to fish within.

No fishing rods were used.
The fishing route itself wasn’t timed.

Open Water Locations

While the above focuses on a route, the below focuses on a specific spot. Which means you’ll be sitting in one spot and fishing for however long you want, in case that’s more your thing and you’re not wanting to look for pools of any kind and just want fish.

Mining

It’s not the most generous of places for gathering ore. Not that the numbers are bad, but there are so many cliffs to go up and down, plus the nodes are pretty spaced out with a lot of nothing between.

Also, if you’re using my personal routes, they’ll disappear for a hot minute as you go through Shattrath.
