Escape from Ding Dong Dell is part of Chapter 1, The Fall of the House of Tildrum in Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom.

So you’re thrown into the fray of a sudden coup in the kingdom of Ding Dong Dell after not even a day ago being the President.

Roland’s handling things pretty well, don’t you think?

Poor Evan though. I don’t think he knows what to think at this point.

Escape the castle with Evan!

All right, time to get a move on before we’re mice food.

Escape from Ding Dong Dell

Go through the doorway (none of the NPCs, dead or otherwise, will give you anything if you speak with them, so there’s not much point), but note that those lamps you see along the corridor? They can sometimes drop healing orbs. So if you’re low on health and you need some, attack a nearby lamp–if there is one.

Three enemies are through the doorway, so prepare for battle. The game will teach out about locking onto enemies, which serves as a vital purpose in certain battles.

Once they’re out of the picture, continue forward through the door at the end of the hall.

Sneak past the guards without being seen!

Escape from Ding Dong Dell

This is where a cutscene begins, telling us that we need another way through this area that won’t get us spotted. So we’re going for stealth, which is probably one of the only times you’ll be using stealth in the game.

Keep in mind you can attack the guards if you want, but they’re super hard to defeat if you’re not careful.

Be wary of the two mice guards on the end. They’ll be looking in your direction, you just need to wait until they turn away.

Once you reach the end, just go through the door. The guards won’t notice.

Head towards the entrance!

The game mentions how to view the map as a tutorial, so keep that in mind whenever you’re feeling a little lost, or if you’re not sure you cleared an entire area. Once you’re down and through the doorway, another battle will ensue, along with a tip on blocking. Once the first group is dead, another will come along.

Escape from Ding Dong Dell

No need to kill everyone this time around. It’s more like a timed battle–after a certain amount of time, another cutscene will happen. Turns out Aranella came just in time for some butt-whooping. She’ll help you kill off the rest of the enemies.

Also, don’t forget to evade when necessary.
