My Clinical Death, where the title is somewhat of a spoiler.
I got this game around the time I was looking for some emotional games to play, just because a lot of the games I’d been playing never really hit the mark and…I needed a change for once. I needed some feelings to occur inside me.

Written in an odd fashion
Usually said tags are on a brand new text screen, which made this really weird to read out loud, and maybe just silently read as well. There are no quotation marks to know if someone is speaking, so the text just reads as inner thoughts until you click for the next line and it reads “She said.”
That’s it.
Just a said tag.
Really weird to have them on a separate line and I think it really disrupts the flow of reading.
We never helped the raven
It’s implied that ravens don’t just represent death, but also are messengers, or they escort souls of the dead? Something like that? So I don’t know really if the fact that we never freed the raven, but we met up with someone we know in whatever reality this is, and they said the raven told us we were coming, if said person was the raven.
Otherwise…we just never helped that poor bird free itself.

Heartwarming story
It’s an emotional story, but it’s also heart-warming–at least, with the ending that I got it was. We came out of whatever world this was and persevered, taking the advice of someone we recognized and might never get to see again until we’re gone.
Five endings
I only got through one ending, and that one was emotional enough for me, even though I didn’t cry. I just…almost did. It didn’t break me.
But I like that although the game is rather short (maybe less than 25 minutes on my one playthrough), it gives you multiple choices in different areas that allow for a different outcome.
