I Drink Sorrel Coffee to Reboot Reality, But I’m Hunted by Monster Girls and Armed Agents, maybe we’re being hunted because we keep drinking the coffee.

I think this might be the longest title of a game I’ve played so far, and it’s not even the full game, it’s a demo. Despite that, I wanted to try it because it looked interesting, and although short, it was enough to kind of hook me into wanting more.

Where can you buy?

Pros:

  • Curiosity might win us over
  • Interesting storyline

Cons:

  • Pretty short

Explanation to Negative Feedback

Pretty short

This one kind of surprised me, because a lot of the visual novel demos I’ve played in the past have been 2-3 hours long–this is from me reading the text out loud as commentary, mind you–and this one lasted less than 30 minutes.

You can clearly see the branching paths the full game will offer, and it is quite the tease on what’s going on, but it is a short sneak peek.

Explanation to Positive Feedback

Curiosity might win us over

There’s clearly a branching path during the events that are unfolding, with us drinking the sorrel coffee being offered to us. I mean, the coffee isn’t even being made, it’s just sitting there for us as if we’ve already been here and we’re just going to drink it again.

Because this is a demo, we’re unable to choose two of the branching paths to two new characters and can only choose a third.

Just the fact that we can’t take those paths right now might make people want to buy the full game to find out more of what happens.

Interesting storyline

I mean, I’m basically forcing this guy to continue to drink this sorrel coffee from a coffee shop every time he passes out and time seems to reset for him, which is kind of an unjustified sort of torture. He seems to be aware of it, but also not? That part’s a bit confusing.

Clearly it’s not good for him to continuously drink the coffee though.

And then aside from the barista and another customer in the coffee shop, two more characters come into play, both wanting us to come with them as we’re seemingly in danger.

So really, I’m kind of fascinated as to why we’re being forced to drink the drink, and why two entirely different looking characters want to help me out and why one of the characters seems to just make me want to continue guzzling it down.

Basically, one person seems to want us dead, while the other two are questionable, barista aside.
