In the Shadows is part of a mission in the location of Cozumel in the game Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Prologue Walkthrough
As per usual, Square Enix (see: list of Square Enix video games) opens up with a grand cinematic for the start of our Shadow of the Tomb Raider gameplay. Since there’s nothing to do in the initial cutscene, let’s begin where we can do something.

Two days earlier…
Lara’s gotten herself in a tight spot–the first thing you’ll need to do is pry the rock from her leg. When given the chance, move upward through the crevice.
Up ahead, you’ll need to rock climb until you come across an upper rocky surface, in which you’ll have to jump and rock climb onto the overhang and continue on the route until you jump onto the upper ledge and pull yourself up.
Follow the route for a cutscene.
When the ruin starts collapsing, run out through the exit.
In the Shadows Walkthrough
Find Dominguez
Once you’re downstairs and able to control Lara, turn around for a Medic Kit. Walk up to Jonah and turn left where there’s a Resource Container and Medicine. Walk past the fountain where the boy shoots off a firecracker and grab the Medicine. Continue around the fountain where there’s a small fire pit and take the Resource Container.
Approach Dominguez and his people.
Follow Dominguez
Through the first cluster of people, look to the right for Cloth. Now head to the left for Medicine. Turn right and go through a second set of people. Behind you is more Medicine.
At this point, you’ll be following a straight-forward back-alley path in order to tail Dominguez, until you come out in an open area.
Find another way in to the dig site
There’s Cloth to the left. Run through the path until you double-jump across a wall.
Follow the path that leads to the voices–you’ll go through a tunnel and initiate your first killings.
Investigate the area
The game will tell you what to do, but you’ll need to stealth kill the first guy, then shoot the second–preferably in the head, y’know?
Simple enough.
Find the temple entrance
Turn around and go back to the body by the shrubs to loot it. Ironically, there’s only that one body.
In the clearing, head up the small steps and get a Resource Container. Directly behind you in the corner is another Resource Container. Run past the wall where you’ll climb up and look right–there’s some Salvage.
Double-jump up the wall for a cutscene. (I actually thought this was it for Cozumel, but alas, I was wrong.)
Climb down the cliff
There’s a Resource Container behind you.
Time to test out your jumping and rock climbing skills. Try not to look down.
You’ll need to jump and rock climb downwards, then rappel further down until it’s safe to jump. Head forward and do another leap for your life, then move to the left until you can jump again onto a rocky surface. Rappel down again, jump down, and almost fall to your death, as is Lara’s style.
Jump to the rocky surface (you’ll almost fall), move to the right and climb up. Double jump the surface ahead and another jump to grab onto a ledge. Shimmy right. Rock climb down the surface, rappel, run along the wall to the right and jump (you’ll almost fall).
You did it!
You’ve completed In the Shadows.
