Caught to Order is a quest within the game Dredge.

The Fishmonger at Greater Marrow received a special order from a customer. He says he’ll pay me well for filling the order.

Caught to Order Guide

1x Flounder, 1x Eel

I’m to catch a Gulf Flounder and a Grey Eel. I’ll need a rod that can handle Shallow water.

In order to catch both a Gulf Flounder and a Grey Eel, you’ll need to own a Shallow fishing rod, which you can buy at the Shipwright if you haven’t yet.

The Grey Eel takes up a line of three spaces, while the Gulf Flounder takes up a square space of four slots, so make sure you have room for them. Once you’ve caught them, head back to the Fishmonger and tell him you have the fish for the order, then place them into their appropriate spots.

If you’ve only managed to catch one of the fish, that’s fine. Place it into the slot and you can fish up the other one later. They won’t go bad as long as he’s holding onto them.

2x Arrow Squid, 1x Black Grouper

I need to catch 2 Squid and 1 Black Grouper. They only bite at night.

Because you’re going to be going out at night in order to catch these fish, it’s best to buy yourself a light at the Shipwright. The Cloudy Lens is a bit more expensive but offers more visibility to you than the other one, so you won’t be as liable to hit a random jutting rock out on the sea.

If you return to the Fishmonger at some point, he should hand you a book titled Rods, Reels and Rigs. Click to activate it in order to automatically read while you’re out on the water.

Once you’ve caught the fish required, place them into their slots at the Fishmonger’s and he’ll give you a Basic Crab Pot, as well as request more creatures.

1x Common Crab, 1x Fiddler Crab

The Fishmonger wants a Common Crab and a Fiddler Crab.

You can now buy the Basic Crab Pot as items from the Fishmonger, just remember you’ll need to repair them every so often. I typically check them after a couple days have gone by to see what’s inside. Plus, you can just grab them and repair them and then deploy them once again.

It may take a couple tries, but once you get the crabs, turn them in for yet another request.

1x Aberrant Fish

The Fishmonger wants me to bring him an aberrant fish — a mutated version of a regular fish.

To have an easier time of obtaining an aberrant fish, you’ll want to search for pools with an odd coloration above them. Sometimes they are few and far between, and if that’s the case, just keep fishing in schools in case you have more luck that way.

Once you’ve given him the fish and backed out, don’t bother catching more fish for another day, because he will lock his door to you, and any fish you might capture during this time might become rotten and sell for less. Once he opens his door again, you can go back to catching fish as usual.

He’ll give you x2 Research Parts in return for the fish.
