You’ll need to speak with the Naut commander, Captain Vasco, and go through all the options:

Flavia is found in the small cabin. Funny glitch I encountered the first time playing this game: her eyes stayed shut while she spoke to me. I didn’t know if she was meant to do that, or if she found me a suspicious person and kept squinting. Turned out to be an in-game bug.

Head to the Inn and speak to Geoffroy at the bar. Go through all the options for “About the cabin boy gone missing…”

Turn to the right and you’ll find a drunkard leaning against the wall. Continue the conversation with him. The first two options, and then a third afterwards.

Go to the Fontaine Family House. It’s a gaudy green door by a seemingly dead tree in the center of the street. After a short cutscene, head upstairs and speak to the woman.

  1. Speak about the altercation at the tavern.

After choosing the first option, you can choose either of the other two. In the end, she’ll say the same thing.

Return to Captain Vasco.

Discover where Jonas is detained

Go back to the ugly green door of the Fontaine Family House. Inside, you’ll have two scenarios to choose from:

  • Speak to Lady Fontaine (Congregation of Merchant Reputation: -1)
  • Pick up the note on the china cabinet, first floor.

There are two entrances to the Fontaine Family Warehouses. On the right side of the map is the back way with no enemies, whereas the entrance on the left side has enemies.

First option: Find the back entrance for no enemy encounter.
Second option: The other way, you’ll need to sneak by guards.
Third option: Attack guards for EXP.

If you took the entrance with guards, find the cabin boy’s cell and use your Lockpicking skill on the cell door. Don’t have Lockpicking? You’ll need to find Mister Fontaine and his guards in the warehouse and kill them for the cell key to drop.

If you took the back entrance, go through a door for a cutscene with Mister Fontaine.

  1. Tell him about what Sir De Courcillon taught us. (Congregation of Merchant Reputation: +2)
  2. [Charisma] Attempt to reason him. (Congregation of Merchant Reputation: +1)
  3. Threaten him. (Fight and earn EXP)

Find Jonas in a cell and speak with him.

Inform Captain Vasco

Head back to the good captain. (Nauts Reputation: +3)
