The Dream Castle Guide
Find Merlin waiting for you at the Dream Castle
After finding and freeing the Pickaxe in The Royal Tools, you’re given the objective to talk to Merlin, and in doing so, this mission is initiated. But even if you went directly to Goofy, you’d still have to speak with Merlin anyway at the caste.
The big building covered in vines. It’s hard to miss, stylish as it is.
Follow Merlin
You won’t need to follow him too far, just the center well.
Keep exploring the Valley to find the four Royal Tools and talk to Merlin
Obviously if you haven’t found the four Royal Tools yet, you’ll need to do so and speak with Merlin again.
Gather Dreamlight to open the Dream Castle (0/2k)
Check in your Dreamlight Menu by accessing the menu or by gazing into the well in order to see everything that you can do. 2k might sound like a lot, and it kind of is at the start, but doing little things–such as taking a picture or feeding a squirrel–does add up pretty quickly.
Complete Dreamlight Duties (0/3)
To achieve this, you’ll only need to do 3 of the duties. And in order to gain 2k, you’ll be doing a lot more than just 3.
Talk to Merlin
If you don’t know where he is, just bring up your map to find him. Despite the fact that you have enough Dreamlight to clear the thorns from the castle, Merlin would like for you to check up on Mickey. I assume if you haven’t gone into his house, you’ve not seen him either.
Check on Mickey at his House
His house is directly across from yours.
It looks like Mickey is just fine, he just can’t remember why he went into his house. And you’re supposed to help him with that problem by the initiated mission Mickey’s Memories. For now, continue to the next step of this mission.
Unlock the Dream Castle
Head on over to the castle that’s being blocked by all the thorns and remove them with the Dreamlight you’ve collected.
Enter the Dream Castle
Just walk on in!
During the conversation, you’re met with a choice on which realm to visit first:
- A desolate planet with a shy robot (WALL-E)
- A restaurant with a great little chef (Ratatouille)
- The ocean with a demigod (Moana)
I went with Moana’s realm first, but I’d actually choose Ratatouille, because he can at least give you ingredients to cook more meals for people (especially if you’ve already eaten the cookies from the chest Merlin gave you)–Maui is a big dude that likes his food.
Whichever realm you choose, that ends this mission.
