Bear With Me Chapter One Guide
Take the Glasses sitting on top of the box and then check your inventory. Use the Swiss Army Knife on the Glasses in order to get Lens.
Next, open the desk drawer to get the Broken Magnifier.
After you’ve got that, open the case under the bed and take the Battery.
Speak with Millie and choose whichever choices you want, as they don’t particularly matter to the storyline–nor most other dialogue options for characters.
Head into Ted’s office which is actually your closet (and it’s a pretty big closet, too). After the script, have a back-and-forth chat with him until you’re both on the same page, yet he’ll need his magnifier. Which happens to be broke.
Before you do anything, take a moment to check out the inside of the closet. More specifically, the right side where there are a variety of clothes and other things. There’s a very familiar mask along with a shirt with the number 13. Obviously, this is a nod toward Jason from Friday the 13th. But even after zooming in on the box with the action figure, I can’t quite figure out who it’s supposed to be–if anyone.

If you’re a fan of the Friday the 13th franchise, then you might like this Jason mask mug to sip out of either in the mornings or even at work–possibly to make a statement, but maybe not. Either way, maybe this will keep some of your coworkers or customers at a respectable distance.
Take the Sticky’s Glue from his desk.
Use the Sticky’s Glue on the Broken Magnifier and then set the Lens onto it to fix the Magnifier.
Hand the Magnifier to Ted.
Leave Amber’s room for the west hallway where that’s a weird shoelace decoration on the corner wall. I don’t know who decorated their place, but even Amber and Ted say it’s weird. Also, if you hover over one of the lamps, it’ll say “sandwich.” Despite not looking like a sandwich at all…
Continue down to the east hallway.
Again, one of the lamps on the wall says “save point,” but if you click on it, Amber will make a Resident Evil reference.
Enter the Study.
Interact with the Anubis Statue on the desk to have it fall off. Now look at it to find a number: 107. Ted mentions that 10-7 is police code for a possible dead person–I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it’s kinda funny since it’s on the bottom of an Anubis statue.
Go over to the cabinet and open it for a Battery.
There’s a key in here that you’re not able to reach just yet. Also, there’s a globe on the desk you can spin, but it’s not very captivating due to spinning so slowly.
[content-egg-block template=price_comparison groups=”globe”]
Another globe that spins slowly is this levitating one. It’s such a cool gift for those who have an interest in space and astrology and constellations. Or maybe floating objects in general. Admire it in the light or the dark, but the lighting makes the world quite striking at night.
Leave the room and speak to Rusty.
Go back to Amber’s Room and go into the closet. Interact with the file cabinet to grab the Credentials needed for Rusty.
Return to him and hand over the Credentials.
In your inventory, combine the Battery x2 with Flashlight. Now go through the west hallway and into the bathroom. Grab the Duster below the sink. If you interact with the toilet, Amber will reference a line from The Big Lebowski.
Return to the study.
Use the Duster on the hole in the wall at the bottom right, then have Ted go through.
Grab the Lvl 6 Sword from within the closet. If you interact with the books on the bottom left, Ted will make a reference to Half-Life 3, stating it’s probably fantasy.
Speak with the Mugshot Brothers.
After exhausting their dialogue, Jimmy will give you the Parents’ Room Key. Now use the Swiss Army Knife on the rope holding the broom against the bedpost. Take the Red Cloth.
Leave for the east hallway and use Parents’ Room Key on the parents’ room door. Interact with the camera sitting on the stool to the right to take Film Strip.
Enter the dark room on the left. Grab the Duct Tape beneath the containers in front of you. On the safe, use the code 107 to open it for Developing Liquid Bottles, then use those bottles on the containers. Grab the Latent Image beside the film enlarger and place it on the film enlarger’s base.
Use the Film Strip with the film enlarger, then interact with it. Take the Latent Image over to the containers.
As the Red Man, head into Amber’s Room, then escape out the window.
Once you’re Amber again, return to her room and speak with Millie. Grab the Wood holding the window open. Also pick up the Small Nail laying on the ground. In the west hallway, use the Small Nail on the glass case of the clock, then take the Hook.
Combine the Hook with the Wooden Board in your inventory, then use the Duct Tape on Flimsy Attic Hook.
In the study, use Attic Hook on the hanging Key.
Now use Attic Hook on the attic door in the west hallway.
On the right side is a Candle on the floor you should take. Next, open the roll top desk with the Office Desk Key and grab the Vial of Ink.
Time to talk to Brian. Just…don’t mind his fake moustache.
After speaking with him and being denied access to go through the…sheet…Ted will then call the mayor’s office for his signature, but he’s not in. Thus, it’ll need to be forged by an impersonator.
Which means you’ll have to go to Flint’s room through the study and show the Clearance to the Mugshot Brothers.
Jimmy won’t help you out until he has proof Amber is with you, so you’ll have to go back and take the crayons she has before returning to Flint’s room. Hand over the Creators Tool to the Mugshot Brothers.
In your inventory, use Swiss Army Knife on the Candle. Dip the Stamp into the Vial of Ink. Use the Wet Stamp on the Signed Clearance.
Return to the attic and show Brian the Legit Clearance.
Continue to Paper City South.
