The Devil’s Work

Town has filled with sinners. To Hell with evil worshippers who do the Devil’s work! We should have sent them all away. God watches us here, as we live, willingly, with treacherous liars. These chanting demons will not get the likes of me, but they might corrupt the weak-minded. May fervor and prayer bless our souls in these times of trial.

Now this is something you would find outside of a church rather than a schoolhouse, isn’t it?

Are there actually people chanting, or are they hearing the spirits around them talking and thinking it’s sinners? Fanatics will put the blame on anyone who seems a little “off,” especially in stressful times, such as what’s going on now.
