Zodiacats, they already own us humans, they might as well own the stars too.

I’ve been playing several cat games recently, and I wanted to play one that didn’t involve me squinting at a scene trying to find all the hidden ones. As such, I’ve found myself a puzzle game that’s casual and a little on the emotional side, if I’m honest.

Something about knowing people have saved animals tends to get me.

Where can you buy?

Explanation to Negative Feedback

Passive aggressive with telling us to adopt

Like, I get wanting people to adopt an animal instead of going to a breeder, but…of all animals adopted I think cats are more liable to be adopted than a dog, since there are so many types of dogs that people might want from a breeder for that specific breed.

Not only that, but not everyone can adopt an animal.

Imagine the people who love cats that play this game, but they’re unable to adopt a cat due to one reason or another, be it outside conditions or their own body stopping them. It kind of makes one feel bad that they can’t rescue all the animals they want due to their limitations.

And then this game has a prediction roulette wheel with every zodiac sign saying “you should adopt this type of cat!” Plus the final puzzle gives the statement of saving an animal.

The game’s adorable, the message is clear, but it’s also sort of aggressively being shoved down our throat in a pleasant way.

I don’t like that.

Tell us it’s best to adopt an animal and state the animals that have been adopted and leave it at that.

Zodiac traits hard to read

Zodiacats Review

I don’t have a problem with reading anything in cursive, but when the Zodiac traits pop up after you finish a puzzle, the traits are super hard to read due to their being not only a lot of descriptive words, but the font is so freaking small. I had to move up a little bit in order to read all the words.

Exit on a happy note

Zodiacats Review

Normally when you close out a game, that’s it. You just exit the game and go on with whatever you’re going to do next. But I love the fact that when you exit out of Zodiacats, it shows you a final screen that states it hopes the stars bring you better days.

Which is super emotional to some people who might be having not great of a day and they played this game to cheer themselves up with all the kitty cats.

Hard difficulty doesn’t involve a slide puzzle

I’m so happy about this.

When I saw that there was a normal mode and then a hard difficulty, I thought maybe the puzzle itself, that allows you to move one piece wherever you want on the board, would turn into a larger slide puzzle.

Sometimes I don’t mind slide puzzles, but other times, I forget the proper way to do them and they drive me insane. But no. The harder difficulty just makes more pieces for you.

Light and dark mode

I’m so happy that they implemented a light and dark mode, as I feel like for me the dark mode is easier on my eyes. Don’t get me wrong, I would’ve played the game just fine even if it didn’t have a dark mode, but just the implementation of it helped me out a little bit so it didn’t seem so bright all the time.

You can’t say it doesn’t give you a good feeling when you see not only pictures of cats, but pictures of cats that have been rescued and have bits of information about them and their personality. As such, on the predictions screen, you can choose a Zodiac sign and read about a rescued cat.
