Explanation to Negative Feedback
Items aren’t all hidden, rather hard to see
Gone are the days where hidden object games made sense regarding what you’re looking for. I’m talking about games like Where’s Waldo and Let’s Find Larry, where the person you’re looking for is hiding in a group of people, which makes a higher difficulty to finding them.
Then there’s the adult game Perky Little Things, where the stuff you’re looking for is in these small scenes that make a bit of sense for them to be in.
But this game?
This game you’ve just got items you need to look for that don’t match the background art and stand out in that way alone. Some are scaled larger, while others are tiny, making them hard to see unless you zoom almost all the way in, but where they’re hidden doesn’t make a lick of sense.
They’re just wherever and it’s sort of lazy compared to more sensible hidden object games.
A girl wears socks
Why is this on the cons list, you ask?
Because socks are one of the items that we’re looking for in this image, and the fact that someone is wearing socks, but they’re unclickable is a little dumb. Why are you telling us to find one thing, and there’s that thing here, but it’s not the thing we’re looking for, even though it is.
Come on.
Other quests available, but unavailable to complete
I was looking for three things in the demo. Socks, gems, and slimes.
But there were two others NPCs that I could talk to that wanted me to get other items. While I could talk to them, and they did request said items, I could not get them.
Which isn’t really a problem, but at the end of the demo (which didn’t have an end of demo screen), I clicked on the hint, that I guess provides a timer, and it was flashing an item that another NPC was wanting.
That I couldn’t grab.
So…I know it’s a demo, but it’s weird. Don’t allow us to do things that we can’t do in a demo when we’re not supposed to do them in the demo.
Explanation to Positive Feedback
You can hide the UI
This is going to be very helpful for when you’re trying to find items on the side of the screen. Because in a hidden object game, there really shouldn’t be any UI that could hide something you’re looking for, and if you keep the UI up, there’s a very real possibility that you’ll struggle with finding an item or two behind it.
Pleasant piano music
It’s a single soundtrack, but at least it’s nice to listen to in the background.
That’s really all I have to say about it. In fact, typing this entire review out, I’ve had the music playing in the background.
