Wellington Under is a quest within the game We Happy Few.
Wellington Under Guide
Find a way up and out
In order to go up, you’ll need to first go down.
Both main doors on either side of the tunnel are locked, thanks to the Bobbies wanting to keep you in here after smelling the gas leak. They probably figured you’d just up and die and they wouldn’t have to worry about your Downer personality anymore. Which means you’ll need to head down the side alcove and enter the doorway.
At this point you’ll want to check through everything you can for crafting material, as a lot of it is completely random spawning.
Straight ahead you’ll notice there’s an exit, with a lot of warnings posted all over. You can’t get through until you craft a lock pick.
Make a lock pick and open the door
In order to make a lock pick, you’ll need to have at least 2 bobby pins for crafting. The bobby pins look like a bunch of paperclips in a pile, in case you’re wondering. Once you’ve acquired two, go into your crafting and hold the gear to acquire one.
You don’t need to do anything special when it comes to picking a lock, only hold down the keybind.
Before you go through the door, the right side has a letter called Tie a String sitting on a desk. Another one titled Rupert Underhill Memo is sitting in one of the tubes.
The bathroom to the left has the Diary of Prudence Holmes sitting on a sink.
Use your lock pick and proceed.
Find a way up and out
Straight ahead you’ll see a dead Rupert Underhill and an Electro-Lock Shocker you’ll need to pick up in order to hack the nearby control panel for a room. To the right is a Promises mask that’ll show you a memory. Over on the top bunk bed you’ll find the Diary of Theodore Miner.
At the end of the room is a door with a switch beside it, below the exit sign. Pull the switch to activate a fast travel doorway, though you have no other fast travel points at the moment.
Another door is locked via a keycard reader. Go ahead and hack it and step inside only for someone to jump you.
You’ll need to throw some punches as well as block when being attacked. One way you can easily win against this guy is if you shove him back into the room, close the door, then lock the keycard reader so he can’t come out. At this point, you can punch him through the door. Just know not all of your punches are going to hit.
The first dead man is Rupert Underhill, who wrote within the Rupert Underhill Memo about someone who was pretty much unhinged and that he was going to speak to him. The second man you encountered in the fight was Theodore Miner, who we can only assume wrote about Rupert in his Diary of Theodore Miner. You can slowly see him unravel with each entry until he finally lost it.
If you look up in the left corner above the lockers, there’s a vent you can crouch into. Go into the section on the right where you’ll find a lot of the rotten carrots that Theodore probably stashed away so Rupert couldn’t have any. Loot the chest then leave back through the vent.
In the room, press the button on the machine to lower a ladder.
Exit the safe house.
