The Emblazoned Runeblade Description

The single most important piece of equipment to a death knight is the runeblade. It is through the runeblade that a death knight commands the powers of frost, blood and the unholy. The runeblade also acts as a vessel to store the death knight’s runic power.

The time has come to create your first runeblade. Search the weapon racks on this floor and locate a battle-worn sword. Once found, take the sword to a nearby runeforge and use it to create a runeblade.

Quest objective:

Search the weapon racks in Ebon Hold for a Battle-worn Sword and then use it on a runeforge to craft a Runebladed Sword.

Return the Runebladed Sword to Instructor Razuvious in Ebon Hold.

  • Starts: Instructor Razuvious (48,27)
  • Ends: Instructor Razuvious (48,27)

This quest becomes available after you finish In Service of the Lich King.

Head on over to one of the weapon racks that someone isn’t already using. Turns out, you can’t take a weapon that they’re in the process of taking or examining, however the case may be. Once you obtain a sword, approach the skull mechanism–a forging system, basically.

I don’t know why I don’t just call it a forge.

Interact with the sword that’s in your bags and wait for the process with the forge to end itself.

Is this quest bugged?

While I haven’t had any problems with The Emblazoned Runeblade, I know a few people have experience the forges not showing up in the area. If this is the case with you, after accepting the quest, you might want to restart WoW. Hopefully that will work.

If not, abandon the quest and grab it again?
