My Thoughts

There’s always something satisfying when we’re able to complete a specific level after dying over and over and over again to it. Gamers who’ve played Super Mario Maker know what I’m talking about.

But sometimes it just becomes so freaking nerve-wrecking not being able to figure out that one trick to surpassing said level.

And here comes Dead Cells, that takes it to the next level.

When you die, you’re back at the start of the game, which absolutely sucks if you’ve gotten a fair way into the game. That means killing bosses that didn’t manage to kill you first (for however many firsts there were) is a heartfelt sigh of relief. Luckily, though, even after death you get to keep the upgrades, which gives you motivation to continue on, in order to get further and obtain more upgrades.

This game is meant to be replayed multiple times. It’s meant to be played on your terms, as far as how you want to go about getting further ahead. But if you don’t play things the right way, Dead Cells will remind you you’re not invincible.
