Playing for Time is a quest within the game Cyberpunk 2077.
Playing for Time Guide
Approach the stranger
You’re going to follow the red outline of the stranger through the layout. It’s a lot of right turns, honestly. At the end of a hall, he stops, and you can tap him on the shoulder.
Dig yourself out
Remove all the crap pinning you down and start crawling forward just like you did in Detroit: Become Human.
You’ll have company after a while.
Once out of the cutscene, you’re given an Airhypo. Use it, because if you don’t, you automatically die.
Neutralize the motorcyclists
Brace yourself for another car-shooter fight. This one I didn’t really understand, because I couldn’t exactly shoot the bad guys or their bikes in order to kill or destroy their efforts at attacking us, so maybe it’s just timed?
If that’s the case, you really just have to keep your health up.
There’s a cutscene and a whole lot of talking on order to get you up to date on what actually happened to you during all that craziness.
Talk to the stranger
When Johnny finally shows up again you can converse with the temperamental terrorist of the past. Try walking away and Johnny will shove you down.
Take the pills
When you first try to take them, Johnny slaps them out of your hand.
You’ll need to crawl toward the pills and take them when the option comes up.
Find something to eat [Optional]
You have a vending machine in your room. Hit one of the buttons and eat what you got or grab one of the snacks you have lying around on a table near the window.
Stock up on ammo [Optional]
In the door to your stash, you’ll find some pistol ammo to take.
Open your inventory and put on some clothes [Optional]
I mean, do you wanna walk around naked?
Check your email [Optional]
In your little nook is your computer. If you’ve gone through your messages before, then the only thing you might find new is the fact that your rent is past due.
Meet with Takemura
Takemura will call you, after that it’s your job to go out and meet him.
Take the elevator down and head through the city until you come across Tom’s Diner. Sit in the seat across him.
Talk with Takemura
Enjoy the tense conversation, and his argument with the bartender. You can either choose to calm him down or not, there’s no real problem that occurs.
