Borean Tundra is a contested zone, meant for players level 10-30 and founded in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion of World of Warcraft. Despite the name, it’s not a completely frozen region, but I recommend you to keep your skimpy clothes to places like The Barrens. (Get it? Teehee.)

The routes in this section offer you full view of the maps in question, at a reduced resolution of 1280×720. In order to get the full resolution of 2560×1440, you’ll need to purchase my In-Depth Farming Guide. It offers a variety of routes for each zone, with all the data I’ve accumulated over the years of farming.
Archaeology Finds
There’s a possibility of finding Archaeology dig-sites listed below in this zone, but that doesn’t mean they’ll always be here. It’s just something that’s good to know in case you plan on working with this profession.

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Borean Tundra. You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.

Fishing
There’s a cave that has a small pool of water, but I dismissed adding that section in, since this route focuses on pools of fish, and there would be only one, maybe two, in there. So enjoy a full route of relaxing and possibly boring session of fishing, brought to you by Borean Tundra.

Herb/Mining Combo
This route and the information that comes with it can only be seen in my In-Depth Farming Guide for World of Warcraft.
But honestly, you’ll get more of a specific material if you just use one of the routes specifically for one of these professions. This route is for those who want to utilize both of their professions at the same time.
Herbalism – Firethorn
This is a short route that focuses more on Fire Leaf than any other herb, though you do get a variety of herbs in order to this one to have a good respawn. And plus the route looks like someone’s who’s falling over. Interesting.

Herbalism – Goldclover
This is the second herbalism route for Borean Tundra and focuses more on Goldclover over the other herbs. In this route, you won’t be finding any Firethorn at all, so if you need it, follow the first route.

Mining
This is more of a relaxing route to take in order to accumulate some Cobalt Ore. Mainly because you’re really not going to get a lot of the stuff, and while you’ll typically have no competition, I can’t believe there was someone else farming ore in the area while I was doing the same one day.
That alone can lower the amount you obtain.

Skinning
The mammoths in this zone can respawn really quickly, but I made sure to tag several locations that have groups of them, in case someone nearby is killing a bunch of them already.

Rares
Killing one of the rares mentioned below will give you the achievement Northern Exposure, though killing these guys, plus the rest of the Northrend rares will grant you Frostbitten.

Reagents – Clams
There are multiple areas with small clusters of toad-like humanoid creatures. Not much to say here, but if you want a lot of them in order to find Northsea Pearls then you’ll need to make several passes.

As with the meat portion of this zone, there are certain areas that you can just linger around in due to the respawn rate being really high. But, since I didn’t want to test several hotspots, I just got information from a full route.

Reagents – Elements
You’ll get a good amount of air and water from this route, but fire always seems on the low end no matter where you’re farming for it. There’s enough downtime between locations for them to properly spawn for you, though some areas might have a good respawn rate themselves.
If you’re alliance, this route does get close to two different horde areas.
