Explanation to Negative Feedback
Chloe may be too insecure
I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes with this one, but if there was a con for the game that some people might not like, it’s how insecure Chloe is. Yes, there’s people like this in the world, and that’s fine and dandy, but I think just seeing someone like this, interacting with them, it can be a lot.
She’s nervous and shy and stutters in regards to almost everything.
I get it. It’s because of how her anatomy works. And she doesn’t do well when interacting with people due to it and maybe more. Even after months of being together, she’s still almost exactly like how she was in the previous game.
You’d think she’d at least gain a little confidence after all this time.
Explanation to Positive Feedback
Full voice acted
And I do mean fully.
The characters and narration have voice acting to them, so you can just set the game on auto and everything will be told to you through the characters and narrator.
Has there ever really been a game where the narration itself has been voice acted? I suppose in some circumstances, like with Beacon Pines, where the narrator is actually telling us a story as it unfolds with what we do.
Disco Elysium I think has full voice acting, if I recall correctly, but it’s been a while since I got into that game.
Either way, as far as a pure visual novel, I think it’s pretty rare to come across a fully spoken game.
Great artwork
I loved the artwork for the previous game, and I still love how it looks. I don’t know what it is, but it’s just so clean. It’s clean and detailed in the way that it matters.
Props to the artist.
Wholesome characters
The relationship between Chloe and Amy feels so sweet. Amy is really understanding of Chloe’s hesitancy with everything and doesn’t push her or anything like that. You can tell they really love each other, even if the word hasn’t been spoken yet by either one.
