Too much text at once

Akuro & Bahaku 2

In most of all visual novels, there’s never going to be a time where you’ll have to scroll down to read more of the text, but in this game, that’s what has to happen to read all of it.

Instead of pacing the text out in a manner where you casually click to read the next line, they’ve made entire paragraphs for you to scroll down a little in the text box in order to read everything, and that can be more than a little frustrating for people who’d rather do it the normal way and merely click a button to access more of the text.

Demo glitched

I didn’t get too far into the demo when text showed up at the bottom and then immediately disappeared without me being able to read it, at which point there was an interactive portion to deal with. So I could move my mouse around the character’s face, and he’d follow the mouse with his eyes, but no matter where I clicked, nothing happened, so I didn’t understand what I was supposed to do.

And with no text being available to help me with the problem, and the previous text box ghosting me, I had no choice but to end the game here.

Explanation to Positive Feedback

Interactive visual novel

Akuro & Bahaku 2

I really enjoy the fact that the game offers these moments where you get to interact with the character on the screen somehow. Not always in good ways, given the fact that in one section, we have to pull his false tail and ears off, but the fact that we’re not just sitting here and reading, but partaking in events the game wants us to do provides a bit more stimulus.

Granted, this is a game regarding bullying, so I’ll assume that it’s not always going to be a nice interaction, as the example suggests, but unfortunately, I didn’t get too far into the game to see how it all plays out.
