A Journey into War is a mission in The Wolf Hunt you’ll get in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey within the area of Megaris. Or rather, beforehand?

Reach Megaris
We’ve recruited our new lieutenant (unless you killed him) for our ship, so make sure to go into your ship menu and assign him as a Lieutenant before heading to Megaris.
Before you can get there, you’re blocked off by several ships. At this point you’re probably able to upgrade your ship at least once in some area, so take advantage of that. (Unless you used up all your supplies or wasn’t grabbing things in the open world.)
- Upgrade Fire braziers if you can, otherwise, try to find something else worthwhile?
- Destroy one of the smaller ships in one hit with ramming.
- Board a ship before completely destroying it and you might obtain some equipment from chests.
- Destroy a ship completely with arrows or ramming and you’ll get a good chunk of resources to loot.
Once they’re out of the way, head to the final destination of the mission. Once close enough to the shore, you’ll initiate a cutscene regarding Nikolaos and Stentor. Speaking with Stentor will give you a variety of dialogue options, but the choices don’t matter as it’s the same outcome, but with different lines.
No matter what, Stentor will give you the same mission.
