She’s not a frog

Okay, the girl in the first game was more frog than the girl in this game. At least in the first game, she wore a frog suit. This game all she has is…I think frog eyes on the top of her head. That’s like wearing headphones with fox ears on them and calling yourself a furry. It just doesn’t work like that I don’t think.

She might also wear green leggings, but again…matching the color scheme of a green tree frog does not make you a frog girl.

One less adult DLC scene

So they added a scene onto the base game, and then took away a scene from the adult DLC you can download, because the first game had seven scenes if I’m not mistaken, and this one has six.

It’s really giving me mixed signals on whether to give this game a better rating than the first or not, because every time we see an upgrade, something is also lost.

Along with the loss of a scene, the main guy doesn’t appear in all of the scenes, just two. And in the second one, the two are just tuckered out and laying in bed. So really…this game is more focused on toys, which is weird for the title, since What If Your Girl Was A Frog suggests she’s with someone…but he’s a one pump chump apparently.

Lacks a graphic storyline

Yeah, the first game shared a storyline with the artwork at the beginning, but this game…it’s disjointed. It’s like they were going to have a storyline going for it, and it’s kind of there, but also falls flat given the fact the guy in this game is barely there.

Artwork got an upgrade

From the first game, at least.

You can tell the portions of the base game that are hand-drawn, but it also feels like there was some AI help with the drawing of the girl? Like they asked AI to create her and they touched her up in these different scenes to make it feel more like a person did it, and for animation quality I guess.

I mean, maybe not, because you can see the sketching stages of the character in the gallery, but it just looks like a weird blend to me.

Still an upgrade though.

There’s also the start of the game which is definitely cute and hand-drawn.

One extra base game scene

I know, it’s a bit of a stretch for a pro, but I’m pretty sure the first game only gave you five base game scenes and this one gives you six. Maybe people complained there weren’t enough scenes, but they didn’t explicitly say there weren’t enough scenes in the DLC, so the devs added a base game scene instead.
