Welcome to Hogwarts (Ravenclaw) Walkthrough for Hogwarts Legacy
Welcome to Hogwarts is a quest within the game Hogwarts Legacy. You’ll become acquainted with the common room and some of its students of your House and learn about the Field Guide.
Links below this section may not pertain to the game itself, and don’t need to be clicked. They are affiliate links that take you to random products that I think are interesting.
Before we get into this quest, I’d like to state that I’m in the Ravenclaw house. (Not saying that I’m above you other houses, like Gryffindor *haughty sniff*) As such, my starting point will differ from the other houses. You’ll be doing the exact same thing, but with a different layout and different objects and people of interaction.

Find your common room
Leave your room and take the route that will lead you to your common room. Don’t be like me and travel down a cascade of stairs when your destination is on the upper level.
Don’t worry, going the wrong way is kind of my thing.
Introduce yourself to Amit
Amit is going to be standing near a telescope, and I’m not really sure what he’s expecting to find out there in the sky during the day, unless he’s aiming to look at the sun. Something I would be highly against anyone doing unless they’re already blind.
Still, I think on some level I do find astrology a bit fascinating over herbology, so I think right now I’m on team Amit.
Introduce yourself to Everett
Ugh, I don’t want to be around Everett.
He’s the troublemaker that tries to do some kind of good with his stunts, but the stunts are what people dislike most about him–even the teachers, apparently. I just feel like if I hang out around him everyone is going to start eye-balling me as an accomplice and I’m not about that life.
I’ll stir up some trouble, I’ve no problem with that.
But nothing as premature as dungbombs.
Introduce yourself to Samantha
She’s fussing over a plant that’s on the table, and it’s speaking to her that makes me realize I may have found the house for the cozy folk, seeing how much she loves her plants and how she talks about them.
Meet Professor Weasley outside the common room
Since every House has a different layout, you’ll just have to follow the path in order to find Professor Weasley.
You’ll speak with her a moment, then start following her as she talks about a field guide she’ll be giving you to acclimate you to the Hogwarts fifth-year wizarding life. Once you’ve come across the object she wishes for you to learn about, cast Revelio.
A field guide page will come up where you can read about the object in question. Because of this, you’re on your way to completing a field guide challenge, which is stated in the upper right.
At this point, you can open the menu and see everything you need to know, including your level at the top, and the challenges section at the bottom.
When you click into the challenges, you can see the overall progress of all your field guide categories, and as you look into each one, you can see the challenge progress as well as the reward you’ll obtain for finishing it.
I love collection games when there are rewards involved.

Follow Professor Weasley
Professor Weasley should take you to some Floo Flames next and explain fast travel to you. Which means you’ll be opening up your map and heading to the Central Hall Floo Flames.
After a short chat regarding which classes you’ll be taking–Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts–you’ll continue speaking with Professor Fig.
Talk to Professor Fig
Speak with him a bit and then you’ll get a small tutorial of creating a waypoint to the destination you’re wanting to go, which is to one of your classes.
