Explanation to Negative Feedback
Lights won’t turn off at night
I can flick them on and off all I want during the morning shift, but for some reason, once night comes around, I tried to turn them off at closing time and nothing happened.
So it is with a closed sign and the lights being on that you confuse potential customers until morning, when the sign is once again flipped to open.
Customers leave at closing time
I’d understand if there was someone waiting in line to leave at closing time, because they aren’t being helped yet. But you can be in the middle of selling something or haggling a price for an item when they’ll suddenly turn away and walk out.
You could be getting an amazing sell…and then nothing.
Ragebait, for sure.
Difficult to obtain money
Meaning you can really screw yourself over if you buy too many items for too high of a price and aren’t able to sell them at a higher price to gain more money. I was stuck at 0 dollars for a little bit until I was able to sell some of the stuff, even if it wasn’t for much higher than I bought them for.
It sucked, I hated it, but it’s a learning curve with this game specifically.
People aren’t just grabbing items off the shelf like in a grocery store, you have to think if something is worth buying and selling or not, even if the customer gets angry at your response.
Makes a liar out of you
You can purchase points for different talents, and one of them is to lie a bit better and more believably so the customer doesn’t get mad and call you out on it.
The higher your persuasion, the easier it is to lie to a customer that the item they’re wanting to buy is really good, when it’s actually crap. See? It’s giving positive reinforcement for lying because when done right, you can get a lot more money out of their wallets.
Bad for the customer, great for you.
Can’t place extra items down
This is annoying.
If all your shelves are full of products and you’ve got nowhere else to put something you just bought, you’ll have to place it on the table and purchase another display to put it on, or throw it in the trash if you don’t have enough money to buy a shelf.
There’s no other option.
Explanation to Positive Feedback
Teaches you to buy low, sell high
It’s something that you need to learn fairly early on if you want to have a better chance at earning more money than you’re spending.
There are some tricks to doing this, such as outright lying to a customer on what the condition of an item is, thus allowing you to sell it at a higher price if they believe your lie. Or you can study an item that was thought to be of poor value and find it’s in pristine condition, upping the price. If you choose to not mention the price update, you can buy the item for much cheaper than you’ll be selling it for.
Does it make you a bad store owner?
Probably, but they should’ve looked at their item better.
Shows you where to look on items
A customer is going to tell you if their item is in working condition or broken, or if it’s in pristine condition or has a scratch on it, or other such things. Because of this, you’ll have to inspect the items.
It’s not an inspection that you’ll have to do on your own–thankfully.
The game tells you where to look on the item and whether you’ll need to use the magnifying glass or just click on the area in question.
The item summary of what they say vs what you find out will update, thus updating the price of the item once the inspection is over. You can either tell the customer about the change in the item or not, depending.
