The Missing Scales in Greedfall 2
The Missing Scales is a quest in Greedfall 2: The Dying World. You must locate Vlann and retrieve the scales he took.
Greedfall 2: The Dying World is heavy in the choices matters side of things, from losing reputation to gaining reputation depending on a single choice. Some quests have a variety of these choice sections throughout. Therefore…I won’t be going through all the choice outcomes.
The Missing Scales
Find out about the ritual object
You’ll need to speak with Armal to trigger this quest, which will typically happen when buying something you need from him in A Dying Forest.
You can ask him for more information about his mission, but it’s not mandatory.
Find Gobannon and speak to him.
Find out who plundered the reserve of scales
Find Denid in the village and speak with her, choosing Tell her about the missing scales and all dialogue options.
Fast travel to Mining Exploitation.
Near the mine entrance, speak with Mine Supervisor. Choose Ask him about the native miner who took the scales.
Enter the mine.
Once you’re past the Main Well and within the Deep Tunnels, there’s going to be a right path you can take that brings you to the Forgotten Altar.
Vlann is on the other island after crossing the bridge.
Convince Vlann
You have some dialogue choices:
- Give him some of the remedy (I assume you’ll only have this option if you’ve already completed A New Evil)
- Ask him to return the scales
- Do not insist
- Insist
- Attack him (Nilan: Reputation -1)
- Apologize (takes you back to the first set of options)
Find the gold scales
The Pile of Golden Scales is in the nearby treasure chest.
Return the gold scales
Make your way out of the mines.
Fast travel to Vigeshvar.
Speak to Gobannon and give him the scales.
Give the ritual object to Armal
Return to Armal in the Visitors’ House and give him the statue.
