Shadowmoon Valley (Outland) is a contested zone meant for players level 25-30, founded in The Burning Crusade expansion in World of Warcraft.

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Shadowmoon Valley (Outland). You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.
Herbalism
Shadowmoon Valley is the place for farming Nightmare Vines alone. It’s really the only reason anyone would want to come into this place with herbalism in mind. Just know that it gets close to a horde base, so keep an eye out.

Fishing
Since there’s no pools to be had in Shadowmoon Valley (Outland), I was forced to find a location and sit down to fish. Unfortunately, that still didn’t net any good results, because apparently fish don’t take very well to fel pools and lave.
After fishing for only 3:00 at coords 31.6,38.1, I was only able to obtain the following:
- Felblood Snapper – 12
And since it’s a grey that doesn’t really vendor for that much and warns you not to even eat, I’m going to go ahead and call it–this zone isn’t worth fishing in.
Mining
Well, I was hoping to get at least 100 of a select ore from farming this route, but that didn’t happen. Due to that, I’ll have to say this zone is a last resort farming route for anyone looking for ore. It’s there, but the nodes are so spread out and not as clustered together as the other zones that it actually becomes monotonous to farm the area for so little.

In this Shadowmoon Valley (Outland) goldmaking section, I’ll be listing items I acquired as I leveled throughout the zone. While I don’t focus on the special vendor items you could obtain within the zone, there is a chance for them to fall from open world mob drops.
More specifically, you’re able to buy healing potions and such from vendors, but they’re also mob drops, therefore they’ll be in the goldmaking listing below.
