Port Royal Walkthrough for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
This walkthrough pertains to Port Royal of the game LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. If you’re unable to acquire a minikit, it means you’ll need a specific character in free play mode.

What are the True Pirate requirements for Port Royal?
You’ll need to collect at least 100,000 studs during your playthrough.
Minikit locations in Port Royal
There are a total of 10 Minikits to be found throughout the Port Royal level. You’ll need to keep an eye out, as some things aren’t as noticeable as others. Also, specific characters may be needed, because some of these collectables require abilities you’ll only have in Free Play mode.
Here’s how you can track them all down:
- Minikit 1: Early in the blacksmith shop, use a super strength character in Free Play to pull on the orange handle up in the rafters.
- Minikit 2: In the hallway near the jail cells, have Will jump and dangle from all seven hanging lanterns. After the final one, a Minikit will appear.
- Minikit 3: With an explosives expert in Free Play, blast open the cell door to the right of Jack’s cell. Then aim for the four ceiling targets to drop four skeletons. Rebuild them for another Minikit.
- Minikit 4: On the upper floor after climbing the walls in the jail area, do a wall jump between the red and white painted walls. Climb a ladder and build a climbable wall. Pull the left-side gear to create new platforms to the next Minikit.
- Minikit 5: Save the man from the guards, then build three sailboats. Use Jack’s compass to find the location of one of four wooden posts. Have your trusty dog dig it up, then use them as stepping stones for a Minikit.
- Minikit 6: Outside, untie a series of three flags — two blue and one red — to earn another Minikit. Scour the rooftops, bridges, and outside the jail for all three.

Port Royal
Section 1
You’re able to play as two characters here: Mr. Brown and Will Turner.
For now, switch to Mr. Brown and go to the right side where he can patch up some red-heated equipment with his hammer. After that, you can build the blocks that make up the rest of the giant wheel.
Crank the handle on the right in order to raise the wheel.
To the left, inside a crate are carrots. Take one and feed it to the donkey.
Now hop on the donkey and lead it to the handle under the large wheel and have him pull it back.
It doesn’t necessarily matter who you’re in control of here, but I used Will. Fight with Jack until you’ve knocked off one of his hearts.
Build the broken debris to complete the wall that you’ll be climbing up. Hop on the top balcony and go around to the right where a lower platform will take you to Jack. Once again, hit him enough to knock a heart off.
Walk along the beam and take another heart off Jack.
Hop onto the other beam and repeat–but be careful; you can fall off the beam here if you get the jump wrong.
Free Play Minikit #1
Before you confront Jack for the final blow to his health, switch to a character with super strength and pull on the orange handle leading outside at the top of the rafters. The Minikit is to the right.
Chase after Jack and knock off his final heart.
Section 2
Head to the right until a cell wall falls and pick up the bone to take it back to the dog. Once you take control of the dog, go into the section of the wall on the far left and simply run into the bench to push it over the edge.
Take control of Will and pick up the bench to place it on the green pad in front of Jack’s cell, then jump on it.
Use the dog to dig in the cell that had originally fallen down.
Minikit #2
Before you pick up the crank, in the hall outside of the cells are seven lanterns that have a green bar on the bottom you can grab onto. Hang off all seven and you’ll receive a Minikit.
Free Play Minikit #3
Use an explosive expert to blast open the door next to Jack’s cell. Now you can knock down all skeletons and rebuild them for a Minikit.
Free Play Minikit #4
Go through the hole in the cell you blasted open. Jump down a level and push the wooden beam to the right to have it make a path. Fire at the target. Switch to a female character and jump for the walls, then continue wall jumping to the right. Climb the ladder, build the blocks, and climb the wall until you’re holding onto a green bar. Shimmy to the left. Jump and grab the gear on the left to create platforms to jump onto. Press the green slot. The Minikit is on the left.
Change to a different character and pick up the crank to place it in its spot on the right. Interact with it and with teamwork the door will open.
Section 3
Jump on the brown barrel and roll it to where the indicator is, and continue walking on it until the door opens. Fight two waves of guards, then go through the doorway. If you go through and don’t fight them, they just end up on the next section anyway to fight you.
Control Jack and use his Compass to find the boards, which is the top icon.
Control the dog and dig up the rest of the boards, then change to either person and build the pieces to create a bridge over the gap.
Minikit #5
Make sure to attack the guards going after the man to help him out. Next up, find the little boats along the shore to build the LEGO pieces for. Have Jack use his Compass to find a post, in the top right of his menu. Follow the trail. Switch to Guard Dog and dig it up. Switch back to a person who can build the post, then jump along all of them to find a Minikit.
Free Play Minikit #6
In the first courtyard area, there’s a flag on top of the right wall. In the second courtyard area, climb the first tall palm tree, and at the very top is a flag on the far right. in the right section, you can climb the barrels to the third flag, outside the window the guard is firing from.
Free Play Minikit #7
Enter the window the guard was in and the Minikit is inside to the left.
Up the steps on the left, jump on the barrel and ride it over the boards–but be careful because it’s easy to fall off. Ride it onto its indicator and continue until the gate’s open–you’ll have immunity to attacks while you do this.
Jump off and get rid of the guards on the ground, then leave the area.
At the end of the sand, use a barrel in order to walk underwater without taking damage. Step into the crate.
On the bottom level is a wheel to take. Place it where it belongs and spin it. Jump up to the left side and stick a sword into the panel. Ride the line down and take control of the wheel.
