Wayne Manor Grounds Walkthrough

Wayne Manor Grounds is part of the Early Years in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. It has no collectibles in it, but allows you to indulge in destroying the yard for LEGO studs while searching for your cape, goggles, and hat.

Wayne Manor Grounds

Go to the garden

Wayne Manor Grounds Walkthrough
Approach the gate

As soon as you take control of the character, the game will prompt you with the keybind for moving around.

You can admire the first section to this area, which has several plants growing in different areas, and an overall beautiful symmetry to the garden itself. Or you can be like me in my first playthrough and just start destroying everything.

Your parents won’t even care.

Why would they, they’re rich.

You will need to hop over the little barricade and approach the gate to get to the next section, as there’s nothing in this first area except the urge to destroy and collect studs, which will be used for currency later in the game.

Once Alfred has opened the gate, use your detect skill to find the cape. Bruce will automatically approach it, and you’ll need to collect.

Goggles are in the chest

For the goggles, go into the summerhouse, which is where Martha is. She’s dedicated to looking in the couches, but you’ll need to use your detect for it to reveal itself in the chest.

Open the chest for the goggles.

Find Bruce’s costume (2/3)

Smash the hedge and grab hat

For the final costume piece, the hat, make your way over to Alfred. He’s standing near the giant W hedge bush, which is an atrocious eyesore in an otherwise beautiful landscape.

Don’t worry, you can smash the thing, then collect the hat.

Gathering all pieces of the Gray Ghost costume will give you the achievement Beware the Gray Ghost!

Collect Bruce’s hat

Wayne Manor Grounds Walkthrough
The hat’s on the well

Sometimes the wind can be such a nuisance when it comes to wearing hats, and this is no exception.

Follow the straightforward path to get your hat back.

When you come across an area with a way to get ahead via a left or right choice, it really won’t matter. On the left, you can hop from one tree stump to another, and the right side will allow you to run along the log.

Feel free to sit in the swing at the top of the climb, but don’t expect Bruce to do any cool tricks when disembarking. You also can’t control how high he swings either.

Guess he’s just more of a rich kid than a cool kid.

Travel across the water with the same concept of either hopping across or taking the precarious straightforward path.

Take the crawlspace into the creepy part of the garden that the groundskeeper doesn’t tend to, and yes, our father follows us by shimmying through the crawl space as well. He’s really keeping an eye on his son out here, like he doesn’t trust us with that hat.

Collect it on top of the well.
