Crossed Wands: Round 1 in Hogwarts Legacy
Crossed Wands: Round 1 is a quest within the game Hogwarts Legacy. It’s a dueling match where you’ll face off against two students with Sebastian on your team.

Crossed Wands: Round 1
- Crossed Wands is located in The Clock Tower.
- You get access to this quest once you’ve completed Defence Against the Dark Arts Class.
Technically, since this is a side quest, you could have gotten multiple spells up to this point. The quest itself, however, is going to base itself on you only having acquired Levioso. This is because Levioso is acquired from the Dark Arts quest and this one comes after that.
So if you want to attack with a variety of spells, you’re free to do so.
It’s a duel, after all.
The tutorial before the fight states that you’re going to want to use Levioso when they have a yellow shield around them. Otherwise, you won’t be able to hit them with a basic cast. Once the shield is destroyed, you can strike them down.
It’s basically a beginner battle.
In round 1, you’re going to be thrown into a duel with Sebastian as your partner, against two other students. One baits you into thinking they’re going to whoop your butt.
Trust me. They won’t.
Just follow these basic instructions:
- Levioso when they’ve got yellow shields
- Basic attack when it’s on cooldown
- Protego before you’re hit or roll to dodge
- Hold Protego for a counter-attack
