24-hour shop reset
The first time I looked into the shop, which is there so you can either buy decorations for the room you’re subjected to staying in, or to buy cosmetics for the cats, there was a 10-minute shop reset about happen, which is great. There’s nothing wrong with ten minutes, because it gives you the chance to play some games, earn money, and see what else you can grab.
Having said that, after playing some more match-3, and gaining a bit more money, I went back into the cash shop and the reset time had gone up to 24 hours.
Are you kidding me?
This is just a demo, a taste of the full game, but you’re going to have the gall to put that long of a time limit in a shop, on a game where there’s really not much entertainment on what to do, where we, the player, get paid in cheap change for catering to a cat’s needs?
No thanks.
That’s a turn-off in itself.
1 room, 5 cats
In the demo, there are two areas you can go to, and there are five cats in each location. The problem is within the single room you exist in, there can only be five cats.
So you’re forced to pick and choose which cats you want to have sitting in the room and staring at you.
And they aren’t even in cute poses that cats can get into when lounging around the room. They’re just sitting at the front, looking expectantly at you, as if you’re going to do something cute instead of them.
We’ve already fed them. That was our job. But now they sit there. All boring-like.
At least make them smaller so you can have them spread out around the room. I don’t care if they’re laying on a chair or clinging to a wall in a desperate attempt to climb the wall. Give them some personality.
And if you don’t like one, switch it out for another.
Limited room decorating
The demo only has you in one room, and that’s fine, but given there’s decorating within this game, which might create more interest combined with the cats, there’s only so much you can do with the decorations.
For instance, you might have a painting on the wall. The most you can do with it is slide it to the right or left on the wall it’s already on, or adjust it up a bit more or down. That’s literally it. You can probably place it on another wall, if you don’t like where it is, but again, not much else.
Same with the furniture. Move it a little to the left or right and you’re done.
Of course, if there’s something in the way, or if you’ll get too close to another object, then it won’t allow you to move it at all, so that’s another thing to think about with placement.
It’s just a little disappointing in the ways of decoration.
Match-3 not satisfying
I’ve played a lot of games with match-3, the first one of course having been Candy Crush, and a lot of other games have expanded on that, but this one…this one was left in the dust.
First off, it can get a little tough when feeding the last couple of cats in an area, because the high score to meet demands more out of you, and the thing is, there’s no boosts in matching more than three items.
Normally, in other match-3 games, there’s a power up bonus to help you out.
But not here.
In this game, you can get excited to do a full 5-match, or one with an L shape…and you get nothing out of it. Just, yay you matched more than three. Now keep going because the cat still wants fed.
There’s no satisfaction to it.

Customize kitties
The only pro I’m going to give the game, and it’s a bit of a stretch, because there’s not much to do in the way of customizing cats, given you buy the items from the shop, and shop items are expensive when you’re barely getting scraps of change for the match-3 games you complete with an A rank.
Not to mention the shop has a reset time of 24 hours.
But if you do buy something to customize a cat with, they’ll either look really adorable or absolutely funny depending on what you choose.
I customized one with red spiky hair.
They became a little hellion in my eyes.
