Unable to obtain every collectible

Children of Silentown: Prologue

And if it is possible, then I must’ve glazed over them, though I’m pretty sure I clicked on everything I could. The only thing I can think of is to interact multiple times with things, but again, I don’t.

Even if it is a prologue, I do feel kind of gypped for not being able to obtain them.

Explanation to Positive Feedback

Good build-up

I think I saw someone complain that the prologue was too short and didn’t do anything to pull them in, but I disagree with that statement. You clearly understand the forest is a threat, we overhear our parents talking about someone going missing, and we’ve come across some kind of presence.

In addition to the storyline setup, the overall art and soundtrack is also enough to pull me in.

I think the one thing that felt disappointing is the inability to find all the notes and stickers (unless I overlooked them).

Great soundtrack

Maybe a little too good at times?

Even during the moments of casual play, I wanted to stop and listen, or I’d be paying too much attention to the music and not enough to the characters speaking.

The changes just from being in the living room to going to stepping into the basement was so good.

And the music to the ending scene creeped me out more than the idea of turning around.

Unique character design

Children of Silentown: Prologue

The only thing I can compare them to are the characters in Last Day of June. Very unsettling to look at them, but oddly endearing in their own way.

I’m pretty sure the eyes of Silentown citizens are meant to represent insomnia, due to their fear of monsters in the forest.

Simple inventory management

Children of Silentown: Prologue

You don’t hold a lot of items at once, and you only have to press a button to bring up the inventory on the left side. Once you’re holding an item, the inventory automatically closes.

It makes it very straightforward.
