Chapter VIII – Our Home is the eighth part of a walkthrough for the game A Plague Tale: Innocence, following Chapter VII – The Path Before Us.

Follow Hugo underground
Go through the doorway Hugo is in and turn right for an Iconography collectible in the foliage. Follow Hugo further down, but keep going downward. You’ll enter a sort of crypt and earn the achievement Tribute.
Head up to the area where Lucas is.
Help Lucas with the elixir
He’ll ask you for the container on the left side table. It’s a red jar. Place that on the desk in front of him, and then the sap that he wants is on the table directly behind him. Again, set it on the table.
Follow Hugo to the ramparts
Follow Hugo through the doorway in the sleeping quarters and turn left. There’s a collectible Alchemical Crucible.
Outside, start shouting with Hugo for some sibling bonding time. Speak with Melie when she requests it just to see what she says, then check out the area by the barrel near her for the collectible Bird Language Manual.
Now see what Hugo is going on about.
Inspect the symbol in the Great Hall
Our brother seems to have an eye for detail. Check out the symbols on the ground, then he’ll want to show you the tree.
Follow Hugo
Why would we do anything else at this point?
Out at the tree is a cutscene.
Join Melie in the Great Hall to leave with her
Once it’s over, approach Hugo as he stares at a flower, which is the collectible St. John’s Wort.
Go into the main area and speak with Melie for a cutscene and the start of the next chapter.
