Danforth’s being tortured on the other side of the cave. There’s no telling what state he’s in by now! We need to get over there and save him!
Overlord Barbarius has the key to the lever holding Danforth up. We work together as a team and we can kill that bastard, Barbarius. Once Barbarius is dead, we use his key to get Danforth down and get out of here!

Quest Objectives:
Kill Overlord Barbarius and recover the Blackrock Lever Key. Use the Blackrock Lever Key to free Danforth.

- Starts: Krakauer
- Ends: Danforth
After completing Krakauer and accepting this quest, head deeper into the cave until you meet up with Overlord Barbarius at 27,18.
This guy is a bit of a tough fight, depending on your level (how many abilities you have at your disposal) and what class you are. There have been a couple classes where I’ve died a lot to this guy. And while you think it’d be easy to defeat him with your extra companions, it’s not.
Take too long to down him and he’ll kill the crew, then go after you. Also, if you aggro someone else with the overlord, it’s almost a guaranteed death.
If others are near, hope they’re willing to help out. It makes things easier.
After defeating him, pull the lever and Danforth will fall into the water. Speak to him to complete the quest.
