It’s been a while since I played any timed event game, and this one looked simplistic enough.
And it’s a place that I would never want to work–a hotel. Lord knows what kind of things you’d find as a bellhop or even a maid…because I think a bellhop just answers the front door and maybe takes your luggage up to your room and that’s it?
Pros:
- Multiple money-making scenarios
- Buy new outfits
Cons:
- Short repetitive soundtrack
- Continuing to next level takes you back to level 1
- Game-breaking bug
I really wish the soundtrack implemented more of elevator-style music. It just seems like it would fit the mood as a bellhop a bit more than this short little ditty we have to listen to over and over again.
Not that elevator music doesn’t repeat itself…but it’d have a lengthier tune to it.
The first level basically teaches you how to do things and where everything you’ll need is, and as such only has one guest so you don’t get overwhelmed, which is easy to have happen to you in these types of games.
After the first level, things progress a bit with multiple guests and pictures in the hall going crooked that you have to fix.
You’ve got to really figure out what to do in a specific order in order to get the appropriate amount of tips up until everyone leaves. The good thing is that you don’t have to place things back where they were when you’re running from one errand to the next.
So drop your broom on a floor if you have to instead of returning to the supply closet.
When I went to choose the third level, I got an error message that shut the game down, which sucks, but after starting it up again, I was able to continue.
One thing that’s bothersome, is when you click to continue to the next level, it automatically takes you back to level 1, instead of staying on the screen to choose which level you want to do next. It’s like it double-clicks for you and the click is on the tutorial level.
You have to go into the menu, quit, and then choose the level you want.
But if you’re tired of the hotel scene, there are options on the right side that you can complete as tasks for extra money. I don’t think you’ll get as much as working at the hotel, but it’s still something and a change of pace.
