Welcome to Hogwarts is a quest within the game Hogwarts Legacy.

Before we get into this quest, I’d like to state that I’m in the Slytherin house. (Not saying that I’m above you other houses, like Gryffindor *haughty sniff*) As such, my starting point might differ to another house’s, but I’m not quite sure. Either way, you’ll basically be doing the exact same thing, and maybe perhaps just with a different color scheme for all you non-slitherers.

Welcome to Hogwarts Guide

Find your common room

Leave your room and before you take the steps downward, search the rooms around you and you might get a couple of chests out of your snooping. Once you’re done snooping, head downstairs to your common room.

Introduce yourself to Imelda

Welcome to Hogwarts

Gotta say, I’m not a fan of hers.

You can see her standing beside a table while two guys battle it out in Wizards Chess. Not only that, but you can already tell she thinks very highly of herself as she backseat games one of these guys and tells him not to move where he’s going to.

And once you talk to her, she does that arrogant girl hair-flip thing (metaphorically) and says in a casual way that he should’ve listened to her.

You’ll end up meeting her again for some broom flying to absolutely destroy her in high scores.

Introduce yourself to Ominis

Welcome to Hogwarts

He’s the guy standing beside the large window where a couple of kids are talking about merpeople.

I don’t really have much to say regarding Ominis, especially since he becomes a bit antagonistic toward us after Sebastian shows us the Undercroft. I do think it’s pretty amazing that he walks around Hogwarts with his wand guiding him. Maybe it’s weird to say it, but I really like how his eyes look, though I assume they’re only different due to his blindness.

Still, they’d make some freaky contacts to wear.

Introduce yourself to Sebastian

Welcome to Hogwarts

He’s standing by the fireplace with a book in his hand, mumbling about knowing this and don’t need to know that nonsense.

Personally, I’m with what Hollow says about him. There’s just something about Sebastian that I don’t really trust. He might be a pretty good guy (that’s for you to decide) as he searches for a way to help his sister, but he’s got those vibes about him. I always feel suspicious whenever I’m forced to speak with him.

Meet Professor Weasley outside the common room

Welcome to Hogwarts
Welcome to Hogwarts

This is where it more than likely differs the most if you’re not in the same houses–but maybe each house layout is the same. Either way, I’m going to treat each House as the same layout.

So head back to where the fireplace is and look left to the stairs you’ll be taking to Professor Weasley.

You’ll speak with her a moment, then start following her to a large statue as she talks about a field guide she’ll be giving you to acclimate you to the Hogwarts fifth year wizarding life. Simply follow what the tutorial tells you

Of course, when you get the chance to use Revelio, you might also a chest to the left in the screenshot. You won’t be able to open those types of chests with the single eye until Sebastian teaches you Disillusionment, because you’ll need to be invisible in order to sneak up and open them. Each of those chests will reward you with 500g.

Follow Professor Weasley

Welcome to Hogwarts

She’ll take you to a Floo Flames next and explain fast travel to you. Which means you’ll be opening up your map and heading to the Central Hall Floo Flames.

After a short chat regarding which classes you’ll be taking–Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts–you’ll continue speaking with Professor Fig.

Talk to Professor Fig

Speak with him a bit and then you’ll get a small tutorial of creating a waypoint to the destination you’re wanting to go, which is one of your classes.
