Stonetalon Mountains is a contested zone meant for players level 20-60, founded in Classic World of Warcraft. I found it to be more of a hotspot for horde characters leveling rather than alliance. It was one of my favorite zones to level in.
Everything you find below is up to date for patch 8.3.

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Stonetalon Mountains. You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.

Not much to say on this–the route goes over the opposing faction for sure, but aside from that it’s a bunch of ups and downs thanks to cliffs.

There aren’t many trees in this location, which is a definite plus. Not mention you don’t have to go through caves to mine anything. I did have the route moved too close to a faction-based area, but the route below fixed that and it’s not so close anymore, but close enough if you want to see and grab the ore over there.

In this Stonetalon Mountains goldmaking section, I’ll be listing items I acquired as I leveled throughout the zone. While I don’t focus on the special vendor items you could obtain within the zone, there is a chance for them to fall from open world mob drops.
More specifically, you’re able to buy healing potions and such from vendors, but they’re also mob drops, therefore they’ll be in the goldmaking listing below.
