Durotar is a horde zone meant for players level 1-30, founded in Classic World of Warcraft. It caters to both trolls and orcs and houses the main horde capital Orgrimmar.

Everything you find below is up to date for patch 10.0.

Reputations:

  • Bilgewater Cartel
  • Darkspear Trolls
  • Orgrimmar

Chests

Treasure Chests in Durotar

Below are the types of treasure chests that I’ve found in Durotar. You won’t be able to find a chest in every single location they appear in, and they are on a timer if someone happens to take the specific chests in the zone before you.

Most of the chests are in the open world, but there’s some in small huts, and within the Tiragarde Keep.

Fishing

I didn’t create a route for this zone, because there are no pools of fish. Instead, I focused on specific locations and gathered the data.

Herbalism

Herbalism Route in Durotar

This route can net you a good portion of each of the starter herbs. Just know that Durotar can sometimes have others looting herbs as well, due to it being a starter zone and connected to Orgrimmar. That’s the case with my lower herb count–the route I took on my low pop realm gave me a bit more herbs than on the high pop realm.

Also, since it’s horde territory, you’ll fly over horde locations. Just be aware of that if you’re alliance.

Mining

Mining Route in Durotar

While the Herbalism route may go over a Horde area, this route nets a lot of ore without alliance having to worry about getting too close to an opposing faction’s flight master. It also crosses paths with a few rares, so keep your eyes open.

My miner is a druid.
After mining for 30 minutes, I farmed the following:

Skinning

Skinning Route in Durotar

I had a full route composed of beasts to skin that enveloped the entire zone, but I cut it down to two places, because going back and forth between them is a lot better than roaming the lands, going from one creature to another.

Links regarding the types of beasts you can tame will take you to the Petopia page regarding their species. Petopia gives you a whole lot of information revolving around hunter pets, so if you’re a hunter, go check the site out.

Reagents – Cloth

Reagent Cloth Farming in Durotar

This cloth farming section goes through the specific areas where you can kill enemies that drop cloth. Certain areas are good for simply running around and constantly killing mobs for loot, (such as the caves), but in this route, I only did an in-and-out of the two caves. Otherwise, I kill the mobs in a general area and move on.

Reagents – Meat

Reagent Farming in Durotar

You’ll be going into underwater sections to farm certain meat–like in order to kill the crawlers as well as the crocs. Those are really the only annoying places. Otherwise, just kill the beasts for the meat/mats you need.

Vendors

Vendor Routes in Durotar

These vendors sell special goods, meaning they’re limited supply. If someone buys one of these first, there’s a timer on when they’ll be back in stock. In no way does the list below show every vendor located in this zone.

These vendors may also sell certain recipes or patterns worth obtaining.

Quests

N/A as of this moment.

Goldmaking

In this Durotar goldmaking section, I’ll be listing items I acquired as I leveled throughout the zone. While I don’t focus on the special vendor items you could obtain within the zone, there is a chance for them to fall from open world mob drops.

More specifically, you’re able to buy healing potions and such from vendors, but they’re also mob drops, therefore they’ll be in the goldmaking listing below.
