A Letter, Old and Damp
Dear cousin,
This farce that is New Eden Town has gone on long enough.
You tried. You tried all you could to make it work, to build something there. But if the words you send me are true then by God take your wife and your precious children, pack your belongings and leave that ungodly place.
Come to Providence and live with us. There is farmwork here, and Simone and I will gladly take you until you find a place of your own.
Please, I am begging you. Come to us. We are family and the children will be safer here.
John James
Providence, 8th September 1694
This letter is found while going through the Landfall quest, where you fight your first enemies. Seeing as you find it where Wanderers are, you can probably figure it’s not going to be a good read. However, it’s not as terrible as we might’ve thought.
It’s not someone’s last words.
Though it could be the last letter for whoever had received it.
